What started as a childhood fascination with buried treasure grew into a lifelong passion for rare collectibles, precious metals, and poured silver art. As a kid, Captain Coda would hide coins in the hillsides near his home and dig them up later, imagining the thrill of discovering hidden treasure. Adventure films like The Goonies, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Hobbit only fueled that obsession.

Over time, that passion evolved into collecting fine art, Native American jewelry, gemstones, bullion, and eventually hand-poured silver art. After discovering the world of modern poured silver over a decade ago, Captain Coda became deeply involved in the growing community of artists, collectors, and creators who transform precious metals into unique works of art.

Known by many as “The Museum,” his collection grew from a single treasure chest into an extensive archive featuring rare bars, rounds, statues, prototypes, and one-of-one creations from hundreds of artists around the world. Along the way, he built strong friendships within the community and developed a reputation for recognizing artistic talent, rarity, and historical significance.

Today, Captain Coda is the curator behind The Poured New World Museum, a platform dedicated to preserving the history, stories, and artistry behind modern poured silver. His mission is to educate collectors, support artists, help newcomers navigate the hobby, and share the excitement of building a treasure collection that is both valuable and meaningful.
